Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ManeDeck(manedeck.com) ("ManeDeck," "we," "us") governing your use of the ManeDeck websites, web app, and mobile apps (together, the "Service").

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account.

2. Description of the Service

ManeDeck is an equine records and care platform: horse profiles, health and care records (including vaccination, deworming, and farrier history), documents, expenses, reminders, scheduling, messaging, and tools for professionals (farriers, veterinarians, and barns) to manage clients, invoicing, and payments. Some features are free; others require a paid subscription.

3. Subscriptions & billing

Auto-renewable subscriptions (in-app)

ManeDeck offers the following auto-renewable subscriptions when purchased in the mobile apps:

  • ManeDeck Owner — $5.99 / month
  • ManeDeck Owner Business — $12.99 / month
  • ManeDeck AI Assistant — $4.99 / month (add-on)

When purchased in-app, payment is charged to your Apple ID (App Store) or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Each subscription automatically renews for the same period and price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your store account settings (App Store: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions; Google Play: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Prices may vary by region and are shown in the app before purchase; where required, we will notify you of price changes and you may cancel before they take effect. Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Web billing

Subscriptions and professional-tier services purchased on the web (including Farrier Pro and Barn Pro) are billed through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew until cancelled from your account's billing settings or by contacting us.

Apple standard EULA

For apps and in-app purchases obtained through the Apple App Store, Apple's standardLicensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) applies except to the extent these Terms provide additional or different terms, in which case these Terms apply where not superseded by Apple's minimum terms. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Service or its content.

4. Your content & data ownership

You own the content you create in ManeDeck — your horses' records, documents, photos, expenses, and messages ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you and the people you choose to share it with. You can export your records at any time using the export tools in the app or by emailingsupport@manedeck.com. You are responsible for the accuracy of the records you keep and for having the right to upload what you upload.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful;
  • access another user's account or data without authorization;
  • probe, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service or its security;
  • upload malware or content that infringes others' rights;
  • misrepresent yourself, your business, or your credentials to other users;
  • resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.

6. Medical & veterinary disclaimer

ManeDeck is a record-keeping and scheduling tool. Content in the Service — including reminders, schedules, and AI Assistant responses — is informational and educational only and is not veterinary advice. Guidance based on AAEP (American Association of Equine Practitioners) publications is provided for educational purposes. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for diagnosis, treatment, medication, and health decisions for your horse. Never delay seeking veterinary care because of something you read in the Service.

7. Payments for real-world services

The Service lets horse owners and professionals schedule and pay for real-world services (for example, farrier work, boarding, lessons, or trail rides). Payments are processed by Stripe; ManeDeck does not store full payment-card numbers. The professionals and barns you book through ManeDeck are independent businesses, not our employees or agents — they are solely responsible for the services they provide, and any dispute about those services is between you and them. Processing fees, where applicable, are disclosed at the time of the transaction or on our pricing page.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time (see ouraccount deletion page). We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or other users, or if we discontinue the Service. Where practical we will give you notice and an opportunity to export Your Content. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive.

8A. Directory listings, verification, and inquiries

Directory providers control whether their listings are public and accepting inquiries. A “verified listing” means ManeDeck reviewed submitted business identity and listing-ownership information; it is not a professional license, certification, insurance guarantee, background check, suitability determination, or endorsement. Users are responsible for checking credentials and deciding whether a provider or service is appropriate. Availability, pricing, service areas, and other listing details are provider-supplied and may change.

Directory inquiry forms are not bookings and do not guarantee a response or availability. When you consent on a form, ManeDeck may route the inquiry to the selected or a relevant provider. Providers may use the inquiry only to respond to that request and operate the related ManeDeck workflow; they may not publish or sell the contact details.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST — KEEP YOUR OWN COPIES OF CRITICAL DOCUMENTS.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MANEDECK WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) US $50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the laws of your place of residence.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest version; continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
